The CROSS-REIS project team actively participated in the XIX International Congress of Accountants and Auditors of Montenegro, held from September 26-28, 2024, at the Azul Beach Resort Montenegro in Ulcinj. The congress, recognized as a key regional event in the field of accounting and auditing, gathered leading experts, academics, and professionals to discuss the latest industry trends and innovations.

Prof. Bojana Novićević-Čečević, representing the CROSS-REIS project, contributed to the panel Corporate Responsibility and Sustainable Development: Accounting, Reporting, and Economic Instruments, moderated by prof. Ana Lalević-Filipović, affiliated with CROSS-REIS partner University of Montenegro, Faculty of Economics. The panellists explored the integration of sustainable practices within corporate governance and financial reporting. The discussions focused on the role of forensic accounting in enhancing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) transparency, the significance of non-financial reporting, and the use of economic instruments for environmental protection.

The CROSS-REIS team's involvement provided a valuable platform for sharing insights and fostering dialogue on sustainability and responsible corporate practices.
