The symposium emphasised adaptive reuse, material efficiency, and the integration of circular economy principles into business and governance models. Participants analysed the current state of circularity in these sectors, using a Cradle-to-Cradle approach to explore gaps and stimulate the creation of sustainable business models.
At the invitation of the DECORATOR project coordinators, the CROSS-REIS team presented its ongoing research and activities. The presentation highlighted the development and testing of regenerative spatial management principles in collaboration with Ljubljana City Municipality. A key focus was the use of blue-green infrastructure as a concrete solution to mitigate the impacts of climate change, showcasing how CROSS-REIS advances the practical application of regenerative economy principles in urban settings.
The symposium provided an excellent platform to share insights and exchange ideas with other experts, reinforcing CROSS-REIS’s commitment to fostering sustainable practices across sectors.
